Product Description:
RUSTFIN is a rust-preventative water-based liquid coating for steel reinforcement and offers an advance active corrosion inhibitor in corrosion prevention technology. It can be applied by dip,
spray, or flood coating process. The coating has a special binder with an excellent bond to steel and concrete surfaces. The coated surface after application remains tacky and acts as a bonding agent for cementitious mortar. The coated reinforcement can be covered with cementitious mortar after drying the coating.
Product Use:
Shake the product well in the can before use.
Typical Properties:
- Colour: White(translucent)
- pH (10%) @20: 8.1
- Odor: bland
- Specific Gravity: 1.05
- Packaging: 6 kg, 10kg, 20kg
- Consumption: 0.2 kg/m2 in minimum two coats
Application Process:
Spray:
Spray RUSTFIN on steel reinforcement and wet the entire surface area, then let it air dry. Drying can be accelerated in humid environments with warm air or fans. If applied too liberally, the excess just rolls off the part leaving the correct amount on the metal surface. There is no need to atomize during application; in fact, it is preferred to use lowpressure spray equipment to avoid wastage.
Flood Coat and Immersion:
RUSTFIN can also be flood coated and used as a dip process. Just wet the entire surface with the solution. Product waste can be minimized by allowing parts to drip back into the dip tank or a catch bin. It is ok to reuse the drippings, until the fluid becomes contaminated with dirt, etc.
Duration of Protection:
Steel reinforcement coated with RUSTFIN will provide long-term corrosion protection inside the concrete matrix. RUSTFIN will provide standalone protection for up to one year indoors and external exposure will vary depending on the environmental conditions from one month to six months.

Storage & Shelf Life:
Keep containers tightly closed to avoid contamination. When stored indoors in sealed and original packaging, RUSTFIN has a shelf life of up to one year. Proper storage temperatures are between 5°C and 35°C.
