TOP COVER

Concrete Curing Compound

Properties:

Top Cover is a water based concrete curing compound; an acrylic co-polymer curing compound for use on freshly laid concrete. It facilitates maximum moisture retention through the curing period to maximize concrete strength and durability for indoors and outdoors concrete. Water based Concrete Curing Compound, when applied by the correct method and at the recommended application rate, leaves a dried film, which is visible. Top Cover Concrete Curing Compound is resistant to UV exposure and designed to allow the unhindered application of most cementitious topping treatments; most commonly used flooring adhesives and most line marking paints.

Areas of Application:

The product is recommend for new substrates including renders, structural and mass concrete.

Stir contents thoroughly before using. Spray Water Based Concrete Curing Compound evenly over the freshly laid concrete as soon as possible after final troweling just after the disappearance of surface bleed water for maximum water retention (approximately 1-2 hours depending on the ambient temperature and atmospheric conditions). Apply to vertical surfaces immediately after the formwork has been removed.

Apply at an even coverage rate of not greater than 5m2/litre. Ensure the concrete surface is completely free of stains, oils, form coatings etc., to obtain good adhesion of Water Based Concrete Curing Compound and to avoid discoloration or uneven surface effects.

Recommended to applied by low-pressure conventional sprayer. Can also applied with a soft brush, broom or wide nap roller as soon as the concrete surface is hard enough.

Storage:

Concrete curing compound should be stored in the original unopened containers in cools, dry conditions. Store away from sources of heat or naked flame. Do not allow the material to freeze. Concrete curing compound should be used within 12 months from date of manufacture.
